The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative team player with expertise in satellite missions and systems, particularly in Earth observation and/or constellations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity and flexibility in solving technical challenges in innovative and cost-effective ways. You should be comfortable managing diverse and sometimes open-ended assignments in a dynamic work environment.


Your task will include:

  1. Lead the design and development of the space segment for our Earth observation satellite constellation, overseeing system-level engineering activities.
  2. Perform functional and operational analyses, timeline assessments, trade studies, and requirements allocation to translate customer needs into detailed hardware and software specifications.
  3. Supervise the integration, testing, and validation of spacecraft and mission elements.
  4. Collaborate with and manage suppliers, co-lead systems/hardware/software integration efforts, and develop test plans.
  5. Lead failure investigations and anomaly resolution processes.
  6. Manage mission and systems requirements and budgets, ensuring proper allocation, verification, and validation.
  7. Convert customer and product requirements into comprehensive systems solutions within technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

    Location – Ideally based in Europe, this role is primarily remote with occasional travel required for team collaborations, project meetings, and supplier visits.
