Job Description

Circ’s flexible technology is powering the clean closet and helping the fashion industry make monumental strides toward a truly circular eco-economy.

We’ve pioneered a technology that can recycle polycotton — what the majority of our clothes are made of — into reusable fibers. In essence: our process takes textile waste and turns it into materials that your most beloved fashion labels can use for tomorrow’s clothes.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Corporate Development and Public Affairs Manager to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in achieving our mission.

The Corporate Development and Public Affairs Manager will be part of the Corporate Development team and thus be responsible for supporting and contributing to the company's overall strategic growth, and expansion in the sustainable textile manufacturing market. This will include supporting offtake and feedstock agreements, broader market intelligence as well as engaging on key matters within the European policy landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, understand and engage with the regulatory landscape for circular economy and sustainability efforts within the European market
  • Support the structuring and negotiation of offtake agreements
  • Support the structuring and negotiation of feedstock agreements
  • Support building and fostering new and existing strategic partnerships with brands, retailers, suppliers and related ecosystem players
  • Support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of competitor and market intelligence to make data-driven decisions
  • Where required, collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in investor due diligence and fundraising efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of 3-5 years in business development, and/or corporate development roles, preferably within start-ups or the textile manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of the European legislative and policy landscape as well as relationships with the key actors
  • Demonstrated experience in competitor and market analysis
  • Solid understanding of sustainable business practices, circular economy concepts, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent the organization effectively to external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sustainable textile manufacturing or a related field, with a deep understanding of sustainability principles and best practices.
  • Preference is for the candidate to be based in Europe given the need to engage with European legislative bodies.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Circ:

We believe an equitable and inclusive work environment and a diverse, empowered team are key to achieving our mission. We’re looking for candidates who can expand our culture and challenge business as usual. We strive to foster an environment where all team members can bring their whole selves to work, by their own definition, and we strive to provide all candidates with an equitable and accessible recruitment process.

We provide equal employment opportunities to all team members and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or genetics.

In addition to federal law requirements, we comply with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment in every location in which the company has facilities.

This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.

If we can offer accommodations for you in the recruitment process, or if you have feedback on how to make our recruiting more equitable or accessible, please let us know!
