CIMMYT is seeking a proactive, innovative, and self-motivated professional for the position of ICT Technician to work in the Knowledge Management – Information Technologies Unit at CIMMYT.

The positions will be based at CIMMYT headquarter in Texcoco, near Mexico City.


Specific duties:

  • System administrations tasks based on ISO 20000 processes and standard operating procedures in ITU
  • Document configuration items, changes, and releases
  • Recover data in the event of hardware or software failure.
  • Prepare and clone new and replacing end user computers
  • Set up and configure new and replacing end user computers on the corporate network
  • Manage end user computer data transfers from/to end user computers provisioned on the new CIMMYTAD
  • Set up and configure MS Office on-premises/Office 365 Pro Plus
  • Set up and configure printing service for end user computers on the new CIMMYTAD
  • Set up and configure network shares for end user computers on the new CIMMYTAD
  • Attend General IT service requests and incident reports
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years related work experience. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365, AX 2012 Certifications: Development, Extensions and Deployment for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (a plus).
  • Intermediate level in English language (English test will be administered; candidate must score a minimum of B2 as per CEFR).
  • The selected candidate must exhibit the following competencies: Critical thinking, Teamwork, Client Orientation, Problem Solving decision making, Negotiation and Conflict resolution.
