CIMMYT is seeking a proactive, innovative, and self-motivated professional for the position of Global Treasury Manager for assessing, monitoring, planning, and managing the efficient utilization of financial assets in accordance with the objectives and policies of CIMMYT.

The positions will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City.

Specific duties:

® Prepares and coordinates the development of Treasury / Investment policies and procedures that ensure an adequate level of control over all treasury activities (cash, bank, and investments). Maintain a system of internal controls within the policies and procedures (ICFR)

® Manage the investment portfolio in accordance with Board approved investment policies and cash flow requirements.

® Periodic reporting of the investment portfolio to management and Audit Finance & risk committee (composition asset classes, compliance requirements, performance versus benchmark).

® Oversee the operations of the treasury department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives. (a team of max. 7-8 persons).

® Oversee month-end accounting closing activities of the Treasury Unit.

® Monitor the financial positions associated with foreign exchange positions and advise management on measures to mitigate this risk.

® Supervise an efficient, effective, controlled, and compliant payment system. Operate with your internal clients under the performance/SLA framework.

® Manage external bank relationship management. Monitor bank signatory rights of all accounts in use globally.

Requirements

® Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Corporate Finance, and/or Treasury.

® Treasury certification title is highly preferred (e.g., Chartered Treasurer, Registered Treasurer (RT), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), or Qualified Treasurer (QT).

® Minimum working experience of 6 years in Treasury in a multinational environment at managerial level.

® Advanced experience in managing money market and fixed-income investment products.

® Advanced level in English language (English test will be administered; candidate must score a minimum of C as per CEFR).

® Knowledge of global sanction programs (e.g. OFAC).

® Proficiency in the use of specialized applications: Treasury Management (TMS) systems. Knowledge about Dynamics D365 and / or other ERP systems. Working level Knowledge about SWIFT.

® The selected candidate must exhibit the following competencies: Critical thinking, Teamwork, Client Orientation, Problem-Solving decision-making, Negotiation, and Conflict resolution.
