  • Translate product functionality into mathematical models, optimizing and proving these.
  • Build system-level & module-level finite element models to assess risk of various failure modes under different loading conditions, understand and quantify mechanical functions (stiffness, displacement, …) and propose changes to make the design more robust and reliable.
  • Evaluation of structural safety margins with regard to a sufficient operational fatigue life incorporating dynamics, eigenmodes, harmonics and tribology.
  • Organize and lead structural design reviews, design brainstorms, and present FEA results in a form actionable by multidisciplinary teams and leadership.
  • Work closely with product designers throughout the design process in order to ensure continuous feedback.
  • Work closely with other FEA (Finite Element Analysis) engineers in modelling, setting-up conditions, running analyses, interpreting results and presenting reports.
  • Support system testing, trouble shooting, and problem resolution. Provide product support and input to customer specific questions.
