Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:

• Build data-driven technologies to help make critical strategic and operational decisions to enable business and technical experts.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to build real-time service to move riders and aircraft efficiently that power the digital backbone of our core product.
• Help build data pipelines and scale data infrastructure.
• Contribute to ad hoc problems supporting stakeholders from across the organization.

What you need:

• Current standing junior, senior, or MS student at accredited college or university studying engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative discipline
• Proficiency with at least one backend programming language like C/C++, Java, or Go
• Proficiency with at least one scripting language like Python or bash
• Ability to learn and adapt within an ambiguous environment
• Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Insatiable curiosity who is extremely detail oriented
• Eager to learn, positive attitude and highly motivated

Bonus Qualifications:

• Familiarity with data infrastructure platforms and database systems
• Familiarity with data science and optimization algorithms

Additional Details:

• Program duration will be approximately June - August 2024
• Must be able to work a full time schedule (approximately 40 hours per week) at our office location
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
