The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team and lead the financial direction of Applied EV. As CFO, you will shape and execute a financial strategy that supports innovation, operational excellence, and long-term growth.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and Board to drive high-impact initiatives including fundraising, commercial partnerships, international expansion, and product development. This is a rare opportunity to make a strategic impact in a fast-evolving, innovation-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead financial planning, capital strategy, budgeting, and investor reporting
• Drive strategic financial initiatives to support growth, market expansion, and commercial success
• Provide forward-looking insights to guide decision-making across the executive and operational teams
• Evaluate investment opportunities, pricing models, and business cases with commercial rigor
• Oversee global financial operations, including compliance, reporting, risk management, and tax
• Represent the finance function in Board meetings, investor forums, and strategic negotiations
• Mentor and lead a high-performing, finance team with a culture of agility and accountability
• Manage external relationships with business advisors and partners

Requirements

• CA or CPA qualified, with 10–15 years of senior finance leadership experience
• Background in technology, automotive, manufacturing, or innovation-driven sectors
• Proven success in scaling operations, capital raising, M&A, and managing cross-border finance
• Deep knowledge of corporate finance, treasury, compliance, and financial modelling
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders and translate financial insights into commercial outcomes
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing geographically dispersed teams
• Executive presence, commercial acumen, and a hands-on, outcomes-focused approach
• Experience in high-growth or scale-up environments (desirable)
• Exposure to global expansion, international finance setup, or tech commercialisation is a plus
