Position Summary: We are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist who is experienced in multi-state processing. This individual will work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment within a growing company. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist manages the company's bi-weekly payroll, ensuring work benefits and employee documents are secure. They act as a liaison for all employees’ benefit needs with the provider and educate employees on benefit options. The specialist also delivers employees' issues and concerns to the company's proper channels regarding payroll and benefits.

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • Work within the People & Culture team
  • Leads full-cycle payroll processing bi-weekly, including expense reimbursement approvals, benefit deduction audits, and tax jurisdictions setup in ADP Workforce Now
  • Administer the company’s benefits programs as the SME for the organization, including assisting with facilitating open enrollment and managing LOA
  • Audit employee benefit deductions including group medical, dental, vision, and financial benefits
  • Work with Benefits vendors to resolve service issues on employees behalf
  • Manage a benefits calendar for USA/Canada/Spain/Hungary
  • Work with PEO in Canada, Spain and Hungary to ensure seamless payroll and benefits service.
  • Process benefit contributions within the HSA, FSA, and 401k portals
  • Ensure benefits payments are true costs transfers per employee

Required Education, Experience, Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or Human Resources is strongly preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 3 years of payroll experience
  • A minimum of 2 years managing a company’s benefit program

Skills:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organization and pivoting are essential
  • Must be able to multitask and handle confidential information in a professional manner
  • Must work collaboratively in a team environment and be willing to help others
  • Proven initiative and a demonstrated ability to learn quickly
  • Working previously within an implementation is a preferred skill
  • Strong problem-solving skills
