Of course, this won't happen overnight. It needs talented people like you. If you choose to write your master thesis in our New Technologies (R&D) department, you will be involved in building an end-to-end pipeline to generate novel structural proteins, thereby gaining experience in upstream processing (fermentation) and downstream processing (protein purification).

• Support the team with cloning, fermentation and purification of structural proteins
• Prepare samples for analytical measurement
• Evaluate data regarding thirs generation DNA sequencing, protein purity and textile fiber analyticsand present it to the R&D team
• Do the documentation of lab processes and resulting data
• Be in charge of standard lab-maintenance
• Bachelor's degree (EU certificate) in the field of biotechnology, biochemistry, bioengineering, process engineering, biology, chemistry, chemical engineering or a comparable field
• Practical experience in protein processing using diverse downstream techniques is preferred; experience in the purification of insoluble proteins is a plus
• Broad theoretical and practical analytical background
• Profound knowledge in MS Office
• Work experience in the field of industrial biotechnology is a plus
• Willingness to work in the Munich area
• Conversational German ability
• Enjoy teamwork and collaboration
• Have a good sense of humor
