As our Technical Program Project Manager, you’d be responsible for facilitating technical discussions between OEMs and our engineers, coordinating with external 3rd parties, and collaborating with internal cross-functional teams to support OEM discussions. Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator with an Electrical or Software engineering background as well as experience with working at a tier-1 automotive supplier on new product developments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate technical discussions between OEMs and Ample engineers. Manage information exchange in a timely and complete manner.
  • Coordinate with external 3rd parties related to OEM and certification product testing
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support OEM discussions and provide clear direction on work to be completed, identify risks and work to mitigate and reduce exposure, champion and raise issues, and remove roadblocks to ensure project delivery.
  • Communicate, plan, and create alignment with both internal and external partners representing different parts of the organization
  • Establish timing, and manage with high levels of initiative, organization and technical competence and keep stakeholders up to date on progress and risks

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS or higher in Electrical, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 5 + years demonstrated experience working at a Tier-1 automotive supplier on new product developments.
  • Program management / new product launch-introduction experience
  • HV battery systems experience is a plus
  • Demonstrate ability to balance managing technical and business requirements
  • Strong project management and proven analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven personality that is motivated by solving complex problems
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and identifying course of action to achieve desired outcome
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, able to concisely communicate across the organization

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Japanese Fluency (Speaking, Reading, Writing)
