Role Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Director of Quality Assurance to spearhead our end-to-end quality assurance processes, with a strong emphasis on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). This role is critical in ensuring our products consistently meet the highest quality standards throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

Formulate and execute a robust quality assurance strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and industry standards.

Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Drive all necessary efforts to enable the quality assurance team to meet the KPIs and objectives.

APQP Management

Spearhead the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning, ensuring effective planning and execution of quality assurance activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

Collaborate and influence the cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Supply Chain) to integrate and embed quality into the product design and development processes.

Lead the rollout of Ampd Quality Standard to suppliers.

Quality Standards and Compliance

Establish and maintain quality standards, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Establish and lead the implementation of a Quality Management System in-line with ISO 9001.

Risks and Issues Management

Identify and assess potential quality risks throughout the product development process, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

Conduct detailed investigations into major non-conformities and drive the development of effective corrective and preventive actions.

Performance Monitoring

Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of quality initiatives and present findings to senior leadership as needed.

Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of quality practices.

Training and Development

Design and implement training programs to enhance the quality awareness and skills of employees across the organization.

Foster collaboration and communication around quality issues and initiatives.

Supplier Quality Management

Partner with procurement to define and embed quality expectations for suppliers and conduct regular assessments of supplier performance.

Establish supplier selection criteria and implement as a part of new product development process.

Lead initiatives to enhance supplier quality and address any major identified issues.

Monitor supplier performance and drive improvement initiatives.
