About the job

This unique position is open to a Charging Technology Engineer who has a passion for electric mobility trends and who has an eager eye for detail.

As Charging Technology Engineer at Allego you will join the team of Charging Technology to elevate our EV-drivers’ charging experience in our pan-European network to the next level, with the goal to increase conversion and retention. In a nutshell:

• You will be keeping track of (key) market trends in charging technologies, energy management and smart grids.
• You will manage technical communication with hardware suppliers regarding existing and new products, features, and developments.
• You will work with product managers, suppliers, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of charging technologies.
• You will be assessing quality of new suppliers, new hardware products and internal electrical components of the charging sites and it accessories.
• You will validate new releases of firmware for charging systems with electric vehicles.
• You provide advice on technological and economic feasibility for different use / business cases.
• You will act as an expert on the connection between chargers and the Allego backend, support Operations and provide advice for future developments and improvements.
• You will be the sparring partner for the Charging Technology Product Manager, delivery and operational teams on charging technologies
• You will perform in-depth technical analysis and support of charging issues both for internal and external partners.
