About the Role

The Scanner Team is working on the next generation of grocery software at Afresh. Our apps are used in grocery stores across the US, intelligently predicting what each store needs to order and reducing food waste due to excess inventory. At Afresh, we take pride in having an environment that fosters growth and experimentation when building high-quality products. Below is a list of responsibilities that would be expected from someone in this position:

• Collaborate with a close-knit, experienced team of engineers, supported by dedicated product and design teammates
• Contribute to key architectural decisions, bringing new product lines from conception to launch
• Develop greenfield products on our React web app and React Native mobile app
• Build scalable APIs leveraging GraphQL and PostgreSQL
• Leverage modern AI-powered tools to accelerate development and enhance your workflow

Skills and Experience

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of software development experience and hungry to learn
• Desire to work full-stack, across both frontend and backend
• Collaborative attitude while also being highly self-directed
• A growth mindset—excited to experiment with AI-powered developer tools, modern frameworks
• Technologies: TypeScript, React/React Native, GraphQL, PostgreSQL
