Job Description

The Field Operator is responsible for operating and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and production levels while adhering to HSE regulations. This role works closely with other engineering team members in achieving the company’s vision with clear deliverables. The Operator will be required to work autonomously and communicate with external contactors and vendors for any remote system support.

  • Monitor and control the process parameters of a Carbon Capture plant and injection site.
  • Follow and perform duties according to departmental standing instructions, standard operating procedures, and work permit systems.
  • Operate and monitor the performance of process equipment safely, ensuring the availability of spare equipment.
  • Communicate with supervisors immediately in case of any abnormalities or process deviations.
  • Record and maintain accurate, timely log data of equipment and monitor their performance.
  • Inform supervisors to raise work orders for equipment/instrument malfunctions.
  • Prepare and hand over equipment safely to maintenance staff for repairs and return to service as per PTW procedure.
  • React promptly to plant process/safety emergencies as per company HSE procedures.
  • Use raw materials, chemicals, and other utilities optimally to ensure cost savings.
  • Comply with all company Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with other departments for smooth plant operations.
  • Conduct planned inspections and safety tours to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
  • Perform related duties such as sample collection, greasing, lubricating, adjusting glands, tightening connections, changing filters, etc.
  • Prepare daily and weekly chemical stock/consumption reports and inform supervisors for necessary stock items/chemicals.
  • Maintain adequate housekeeping according to company HSE procedures.
  • Operate equipment such as pumps, compressors, chillers, heat exchangers, and cryogenic tanks.
  • Understand and believe in sustainability and negative emissions.
  • Skilled at problem-solving, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Good understanding of operations, electronics, and control systems.
  • Minimum Diploma in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of working experience in an operations field.
