Company Info

Fisker Automotive was an American company that gained recognition for its production of the Fisker Karma, one of the earliest luxury plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. The Fisker Karma made its debut at the 2008 North American International Auto Show and was first delivered to customers in 2011. Unfortunately, production of the Fisker Karma was halted in November 2012 due to the bankruptcy of its battery supplier A123 Systems. Despite this setback, Fisker Automotive managed to build around 2,450 Karmas since 2011 and sold over 2,000 cars worldwide. In 2014, the design, tooling, and manufacturing facility of the Karma vehicle were acquired by the Chinese auto parts conglomerate Wanxiang Group.
