Our app connecting businesses with unsold food, and consumers willing to buy at a discounted rate has grown since 2016 to become the biggest in Europe, with over 80 Million users, and more than 266 million meals saved.
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we are just at the start of our journey.
That means we’re gathering talented people, particularly we’re looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to join our team in Portugal 🚀
Your mission
You will be leading on a variety of HR activities (with main focus on employment records, payroll, office management and compliance) delivering a smooth experience for all employees and contributing to build an inclusive and engaging work environment at the local office. The position is located in our Lisbon Office and reports to the Country Director of Portugal ✨
Your role:
Employee Relations & People Operations:
- Employment records, onboarding processes and all employee documentation.
- Monthly payroll in collaboration with our external provider.
- Data input in our HR tools, preparation of ad hoc reports and advising the local team.
- Employment law compliance, acting as leader on projects such as: development of policies, labour law changes and adaptations and others.
- Employee Relations management, including disciplinary & performance improvement.
- Partner with Legal and Accounting teams to ensure all processes are executed timely.
Office Management & Culture Ambassador:
- Manage our office in an effective manner, to ensure a comfortable and welcoming workspace - food & snacks, suppliers contracts, health & safety, invoices, etc
- You will be an advocate of our Culture and Values, and lead employee engagement initiatives & social events in our Lisbon Office.
- You will be the liaison between Local with Cluster & Global and ensure that global initiatives are well implemented in Portugal (L&D, DE&I, People Operations, Events, etc)
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, taking care of people operations tasks, including working with an HRIS.
- Strong knowledge of the Portuguese Employment Law and its reform.
- Fluent in Portuguese and with professional proficiency in English.
- Excel or Google Sheets best in class.
- You are resourceful and proactive, able to work autonomously with little direction.
- You are highly organized with great attention to detail, you can bring structure and clarity to anything.
- You have strong communication and relationship-building skills - as you will work with various people across the business and based in different countries.
- You thrive in a job that moves quickly and are extremely comfortable with change.
- A true passion for sustainability and fighting food waste is a MUST - you know the urgency of change and action for the planet.
