At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste.

More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss.

Through our marketplace app, we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food, with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at least half of the price. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste. Alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.


We’re growing fast: Our community of 80 million users in 17 countries have already saved more than 264 million meals from going to waste - saving more than 616,000 tonnes of CO2e! This year, Too Good To Go also reached 7th place among the most downloaded Food & Drink Apps worldwide, in the H1 2022 Apptopia ranking.

Your mission

As Strategic Planner you bridge the gap between creative vision and business objectives. Contributing your experience of developing game changing creatives for multinational marketing companies will help us accelerate the growth of Too Good To Go and become a global household name. Your mission is to turn saving food into a daily habit and your ability to connect the dots, analytical thinking, and in-depth knowledge of marketing communications will be pivotal in achieving this 🚀

Your role

We are looking for a dedicated Strategic Planner to join our Global Advertising, Media and Digital Marketing function. In this maternity cover position, you play a central role in elevating our marketing efforts to new heights. Reporting to the Acting Head of Global Strategic Planning, your primary responsibility is to translate business and marketing objectives into data-inspired and insight-fueled creative briefs. We’re trying to build the best and most impactful creative concepts in the world, and your input will help to make this happen.

Your responsibilities

Creative Briefing Development and Leadership

  • Elevate overall creative and conceptual development in strategic planning efforts.
  • Write high quality creative briefs aligned with marketing objectives for global activations and strategic projects.
  • Lead the briefing process and inspire the creatives, including sessions with the creative team, feedback on concepts, and consultation with stakeholders.
  • Following the creative brief, work in collaboration with the creative director and team to develop creative advertising platforms and concepts
  • Collaborate closely with channel owners to align planning with creative deliveries.

Use Consumer Insights to Improve Marketing Efficiency

  • Use market research to define insights that inform marketing strategy and creative development.
  • Distil insights into core strategy elements for briefs, including target audiences, channels, and messaging.
  • Integrating key learnings into creative briefs for continuous optimization.

Training the Teams and Improving the Quality

  • Support local marketing teams and global channel owners in creative briefing.
  • Ensure strategic relevance of all briefs
  • Consult on monthly channel creative briefings for social media, CRM, and paid digital to ensure alignment and integration.
  • Develop and facilitate creative brief training to upskill the broader marketing organization for improved brief quality.

Our requirements

  • Experience working with multinational, multi-language businesses, with 7 figure budgets
  • Proven experience in strategic marketing, advertising, or creative roles with a focus on data-driven decision-making, preferably within an advertising agency.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to elevate creative and conceptual development in strategic planning efforts.
  • Proficiency in writing high-quality briefs aligned with marketing objectives and creative development.
  • Pragmatic, passionate, hands-on, and autonomous, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Highly analytical with a comfort in handling data and reports.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate abstract ideas into tangible actions and measurable objectives.
