Job Description
Tesla Automation is seeking a highly motivated Controls Engineer for the Tesla factories in Nevada to contribute to the design and development of new automation equipment and assembly lines. As an Automation Controls Engineer, you will be directly responsible for the development and implementation of the equipment. Join our team to build the machines producing world-leading products and accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
The Automation Controls Engineer will work to design software for new assembly lines and single operating machines, that Tesla Automation will launch in the Tesla US plants. Once these machines and assembly lines are setup on site, the Automation Controls Engineer will be working to commission and ramp up the equipment until handover to the local teams is completed. This includes bringing the equipment up to and above goals for cycle time, availability and yield.
The Automation Controls Engineer will also work on software development and implementation of new functionalities for existing lines and machines.
