Production Assistant

Overview

Are you looking to make a difference in the world while producing a new product? Tender is revolutionizing the food industry by solving a major global challenge: how to make meat production ethical and sustainable. Going beyond the existing plant-based burgers, we are developing alternative meat whole-cuts – think steaks and chicken breasts – using innovative technologies.

We are hiring a Production Assistant to helpmanufacture our next generation alternative meat whole-cut products. Working within our Production team, you will collaborate closely with our Operations team to support scale-up and production of new products using novel food processing equipment. You will play a critical role in supporting our production/ manufacturing operation and will have the opportunity to take more responsibilities as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• You will be part of the Production team to manufacture alternative meat products using innovative equipment.
• You will produce our product following Food Safety and Good Practice Manufacturing Guidelines.
• You will provide constructive feedback on production to support the growth of our business.
• You will collaborate with team members improve our processes and products.

About You

• You have 2+ years’ experience in the food industry or a commercial kitchen OR you have an associate degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Materials Science, or Environmental Engineering.
• You can follow the same procedure consistently and without deviation.
• Must be able to stand for an extended period of time and lift heavy objects (30-50lb)
• You have strong organizational skills and demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple deliverables.
• You are meticulous about regulations, exhibit strong attention to detail, and can spot what others have missed.
• You are a good communicator, self-started and positive attitude especially when you need to adapt to new challenges.
• You are excited about joining an early-stage food technology startup, where you will have a dynamic role and will work autonomously on high-impact projects.
