About The Role

TAE currently has a temporary warehouse full of equipment, parts and tools, and an inventory system. TAE needs someone to bring our inventory system up to date, then plan, organize and lead the move into our new warehouse. Once the move is complete it will support two campuses and this person will need to rebuild a team, continue to update and maintain the inventory database, develop and maintain a tool crib and implement the procedures necessary to perform and oversee all functions of the warehouse, logistics, deliveries, daily transfers and ensure outstanding detailed and organized operations.

What you will do

• Supervise a logistics and inventory control team in multiple locations.
• Organize, maintain, and improve the warehouse operation. Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and other operations that may include unloading and unpacking shipments, scanning/shelving of parts and data entry into inventory control system.
• Recommend appropriate staffing levels, vehicle needs and procedural changes to ensure optimal operational and organizational efficiency and organization.
• Develop after hours methods of tool crib operations, usage and asset tracking.
• Update and oversee the successful implementation of the current asset tracking and warehouse management software.
• Ensure inventory (location) accuracy and reconcile material/inventory discrepancies.
• Handle pre-shipment inspection for accuracy.
• Responsible for verifying quantities of incoming and outgoing goods against purchases and/or packing lists.
• Lead all shipping, picking, and packing functions. Ensure orders are staged and ready for pick up when necessary.
• Provide a clean and sanitary warehouse that is organized. Adhere to good warehouse housekeeping practices so that audit and safety protocols are always followed.
• Communicate with internal and external personnel to arrange proper handling, packing and shipping of items.
• Certified and able to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment and tools.
• Experience in racking systems and maximizing usage.
• Experience in control of documents and material tracking with extensive knowledge of WASP inventory system or similar asset tracking and warehouse management platform.
• Must have strong computer skills along with good organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbal & written, in all directions.
• Strong desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 7 + years of warehouse experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

All of TAE facilities are R&D facilities with high potential for exposure to high voltages, arc flashes, dangerous gases, fumes, very low levels of radiation, magnetics, confined spaces, heights, loud noises, heat/cold, stored energy, lasers, and other dangers found in laboratories and power plants.
