About the Role:

As a technical specialist within the core systems architecture team you will form a critical part of driving both systems thinking and systems engineering best practices within the business. You’ll be the organization’s center point for systems engineering disciplines. Taking a lead in developing detailed MBSE process & procedures, providing expertise in developing SYS1, SYS2 and SYS.3 level models and requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on resolving system engineering challenges both technically and procedurally.
  • Act as a common point of Sys. Eng. Expertise & Support in the core systems engineering team supporting all feature owners in “cradle to grave” ownership.
  • Support Chief Engineer with technical expertise in the generation of system engineering work products
  • Liaise with cross functional stakeholders (Hardware, Software, Test) on integration to systems engineering workflow, model and requirements sharing

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Technical Discipline (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics etc)
  • Masters or PhD in relevant field desireable

System or Knowledge:

  • Expertise in MBSE modelling, use of models in the transition to SW and hardware engineering
  • Technical experience in the design and/operation of one or more of the following areas: Power Electronics, Battery/Cell Management, HV Charging, DCDC Conversion
  • Experience working with SysML or Enterprise Architect toolchain
  • Experienced in System-Level FMEA

  • Approachable attitude with the ability to coach individuals in a 1:1 basis on areas of expertise
  • The character that will independently seek out procedural and day-to-day roadblocks and deal with these in a collaborative manner
  • Ability to perform robust root cause analysis

  • Ensures Environmental Health & Safety policy is always adhered to.
  • Promotes Environmental Health & Safety awareness.
  • Responsible for adhering to EHS procedures & policies to ensure compliance.

Other Features of job:

  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • This role is based at our Head Office at Birmingham Business Park, 0900 to 1700, including 30-minute paid break 5 days a week
  • Hybrid location available through discussion with hiring manager
  • Travel occasionally
