Job Description

Requirements As our Account Director, you will report into our Commercial Director, working alongside a small, but growing sales team. As an early member of our sales team, you will directly drive Supercritical’s growth by generating leads, closing new business and then subsequently owning those relationships going forward.

As an early member of the team you will be able to influence the way we do things bringing not just executional excellence to your role but also helping shape a world class GTM team.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales excellence with enterprise clients: Execute the full sales cycle tailored to enterprise clients, identifying key target accounts and verticals, conducting discovery calls, building strategies, leading contract negotiations with favorable and mutually beneficial terms, and closing new business to exceed sales goals.
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships: Establish and maintain robust relationships with enterprise clients, understanding their long-term sustainability goals, challenges, and needs related to carbon removal credits.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring the fulfilment of their long-term carbon removal requirements.
  • Master carbon removal credit knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the carbon removal credits offered by our marketplace, including their benefits, pricing models, and verification processes.
  • Stay informed on market and regulatory trends: Keep abreast of market trends and regulatory developments related to carbon removal credits, providing insights to inform sales strategies and decision-making. Represent the marketplace at industry events, conferences, and webinars, showcasing carbon removal and sustainability solutions expertise. Continuously update knowledge on advancements in carbon removal technologies, methodologies, and best practices to better serve enterprise clients.
  • Collaborate for strategic alignment: Work closely with marketing, product, and finance teams to ensure alignment on messaging, product development, and pricing strategies for enterprise clients. Gather and utilize feedback from enterprise clients to identify areas for improvement and inform product development efforts to better meet market needs.
  • Monitor and optimize sales performance: Track sales performance metrics, such as revenue targets, pipeline growth, and conversion rates, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet or exceed goals.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of relevant quota-carrying experience in a SaaS organisation, consultancy or brokerage
  • A track record of hitting quota with enterprise customers (1,000+ employees) at an executive level.
  • You are excited to build from the beginning. You want to be part of an early organisation and thrive in jungle mode
  • You have displayed an ability to learn technical subject matter and become a domain expert
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability is a bonus
  • Prior startup, high growth experience is preferred

  • Basic salary: £140k - £150k total comp (£80k-£90k base salary) depending on experience
