Planet Reimagined is seeking an Operations Manager to strengthen and streamline the systems that keep our fast-growing organization running, to lead on HR, IT, and administration.

About the Role Planet Reimagined is growing fast, and we’re looking for an Operations Manager who can build the systems that keep pace with our momentum. The Operations Manager will design and implement the tools, policies, and workflows that connect our people and projects, from hiring and onboarding to IT infrastructure, contracts, and logistics. They’ll build on what’s working, identify what’s missing, create new processes from the ground up, and keep refining systems as we grow.

It’s a hands-on role. The Operations Manager will hire and supervise one assistant but will also take ownership of day-to-day operations themselves, like drafting policies, meeting with job candidates, coordinating vendors, troubleshooting tech issues, and planning staff meetings. The right candidate enjoys both strategy and execution, and finds satisfaction in making things work smoothly behind the scenes to keep our teams happy.

Responsibilities include: *Build and document operational systems across HR, IT, contracting, and program support *Develop internal tools and virtual office systems that make collaboration easy and secure *Establish and manage contracts, procurement processes, and vendor relationships *Lead recruitment, onboarding, and personnel and benefits management; ensure fair, efficient, compassionate, and transparent hiring processes and HR policies *Coordinate calendars, travel, and event logistics for staff, fellows, and leadership *Build and maintain IT systems: manage accounts, permissions, and data security; identify tools that improve collaboration and reliability *Partner with the Finance Manager to align operational and financial systems and reporting

Required Qualifications *4–6 years’ experience in operations, administration, or HR roles, in a nonprofit, mission-driven organization, or startup environment *Proven ability to design and improve systems or workflows, with strong project management and organizational skills *Experience managing contracts, procurement, and vendor relationships *Technologically fluent, with experience evaluating and implementing digital tools (preferably including Google Workspace, CRMs, project management software) *Great at communicating across teams and topics, with a collaborative style *Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications *Knowledge of HR systems, Employer-of-Record platforms, or benefits administration *Experience supporting senior leadership or boards *Background in climate, environmental, advocacy, or policy-related organizations

Essential Qualities *A strong fit for this role will be: *Practical and organized, but flexible when things shift *Energized by solving problems and making systems better for people *Equally happy leading or pitching in to get the job done *Curious, communicative, and kind in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

This is a virtual full-time position and can be based anywhere, though you need to be available to regularly join meetings in Eastern Time Zone hours. Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident with authorization to work.
