Job Description
At Ouster, we build sensors and tools for engineers, roboticists, and researchers, so they can make the world safer and more efficient. We've transformed LIDAR from an analog device with thousands of components to an elegant digital device powered by one chip-scale laser array and one CMOS sensor. The result is a full range of high-resolution LIDAR sensors that deliver superior imaging at a dramatically lower price. Our advanced sensor hardware and vision algorithms are used in autonomous cars, drones and many other applications. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative for our high-growth Commercial and Enterprise Sales organization with a focus on generating new business across all verticals. If you are looking to get into sales and have the ability to learn about a product quickly, this is a great opportunity to start your sales career.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Aid in the development of pipeline and territory sales growth
Research to shape strategy to penetrate key target accounts
Hunt, prospect and qualify new sales and marketing leads
Effectively pass leads to in-territory sales reps and follow up on pipeline progression
Use prospecting solutions to find new contacts and customers
Define and communicate marketing support requests to regional marketing teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Great enthusiasm for speaking to new prospects about Ouster’s value proposition
A desire to succeed both personally to grow your career and to help your team grow as well
Excellent communication skills via email, phone or other means
Genuine interest in Lidar technology
Previous experience in sales or marketing
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
Experience selling an enterprise technology solution – Saas or Hardware
Knowledge of and experience building out and executing a prospecting strategy
Knowledge of the Lidar industry
Knowledge of Salesforce.com
Previous experience using sales engagement platforms - Groove, SalesLoft, Outreach, Sales Navigator
Bachelor’s degree
German and French speakers would be a plus.
