The Quality Control Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting QC inspection equipment used in manufacturing battery cells for electric vehicles (EVs). This role ensures efficient operation of QC testing tools and equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and supports continuous improvement initiatives. This position will also provide administrative support to the team by organizing and maintaining inspection documents, creating, and updating records, initiating approvals, and other clerical duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with 5S principles.
  • Conduct acceptance testing of incoming materials and parts.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and final inspection to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Record inspection logs to Excel and relevant IT system.
  • Understand the product specifications and tolerances of incoming materials or products and compare them to inspected results.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs, Work Instruction) and safety guidelines.
  • Escalate the non-conforming parts and quarantine with proper way.
  • Tracking all non-conforming parts, products, and scraps
  • Create spreadsheets, presentations, documents, and internal reports as needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Involve in gage R&R verification.
  • Track calibration status of QC equipment and tools.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
  • Perform 5S audit and Layered Process Auditing to other areas and process.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or college degree preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to understand multiple complicated tasks.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment or relevant knowledge or experience.
  • Familiarity with industrial machinery, automation, and production line operations.
  • Basic knowledge of various testing equipment and basic trouble shooting capability
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and equipment manuals.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in science or engineering are plus.
  • Experience in the battery, automotive, or electronics industries.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations for manufacturing.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Worked in fully automated or manually operating testing equipment and tools.
  • Dry room (<1% RH) and clean room environment (wear full cover all)
  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
