Northvolt has an exciting job offer in Equipment & Indirect Purchasing Team to join our passionate team in Västerås. We are a diverse multinational team with strong focus on strategic sourcing and digital transformation of operational purchases.
Your challenge, if you join us
As the Senior Site Purchasing Specialist you have an exciting opportunity to work across all categories within the Indirect spend area. The purpose will be to act as a window person towards site specific requests, routing requests to other "purchasing departments” driving site specific categories, operates within pre-negotiated category contracts and act as purchasing single point of contact to Site management. Work in close relation with strategic purchasing function to maximize efficiency. Follow up on supplier performance and suggest improvements.
- You enable our stakeholders to run at speed while being cost-effective.
- You will be part of our Site Local purchasing in Västerås team and travelling to Stockholm whenever required.
- You will get the chance to have a real impact on our success story in Sweden and see the immediate results of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and drive category strategy for the site relevant categories
- Support project and site teams with purchases and sourcing council approvals
- Develops procurement plan/schedule for the site
- Work closely with internal departments to help achieving the pre-set production plan and target costs.
- Act as liaison between vendors and internal requester
- Handle local procurement of materials and services
- Follow up current contracts with supplier and adjust them to current company standards
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Has thorough understanding of the local market
- Responsible to answer all of the requisitions process and order-related questions
