Our Test and Validation department in Västerås is looking for the next generation of passionate and autonomous mechanical engineers who want to join our mission to develop the next level of green batteries for our customers.

This is your chance to start your career in the Li-ion technology industry. The Test & Validation team is working directly with customer projects and cell development to ensure the excellent performance & safety of Northvolt’s products – batteries. Increasing complexity and new cell formats require innovative test & validation methods that need to be developed and implemented. Analyzed test data with Northvolt's batteries will advance the mechanical design to the next level.

During the internship, you will develop new validation methods, improve existing test setups, gain hands on experience in testing battery cells, analyze, summarize and present data. On top you will have the chance to learn about Li-ion batteries and get to know all phases of the development process, starting from early design concepts to series products.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and improve test setups to validate lithium-ion battery cells and their components
• Arrange test activities and sample analysis in close collaboration with production, cell design, test & validation as well as quality department
• Support hands-on project-related testing activities
• Analyze and present test results
• Help the team to perform and innovate

6 months of internship is preferred but can be discussed - please state the time period possible for you. Valid work permit in Sweden required to start the internship.
Monthly compensation. Planned starting date is 1st of December, adjustment possible.
