We at Northvolt Systems are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team in Stockholm! As a result of Northvolt's recent strategic review, Northvolt System's Industrial business will have a new owner and is on its way to becoming a separate organisation within a new company. In this position, you would be part of this transformation.

About the role

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and contributing to financial planning and system improvement projects.​

About the team
As this is a new organisation, the finance team is also new. You will work with our Finance Manager and a Business Controller, supporting the new organization.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• ​​Prepare and analyze asset, liability, and capital account entries, and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Support the month-end closing process and ensure all relevant procedures and controls are followed
• Prepare financial statements for statutory and investor reporting
• Review financials to substantiate transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Implement and maintain accounting controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS, K3, and relevant legislation
• Address accounting procedure questions and provide support for technical queries from the finance organization
• Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors as necessary
• Collaborate with the business controller and wider organization to ensure proper implementation of accounting policies, improve systems, and manage ERP processes related to costs and inventory​
