Job Description

Food waste is one of the most solvable climate problems facing us today. Plus, our trash really stinks. It’s gross, heavy, and our least favorite chore. At Mill we are striving to build a better environment for all, as we take on climate and kitchen change.
Role Overview:Mill’s Analytics team is seeking a strategic and analytical leader on a contract basis to help guide the Go To Market team to deliver on goals across volume, efficiency, and unit economics. In this role, you’ll use your “consulting” skillset to model and review the levers of the business, provide an ongoing assessment of opportunities and risks, and guide business leaders through complexity by providing clarity, visibility and insights. You’ll work hand in hand with GTM leadership, guiding week to week operations, planning, and the success of the business. Mill is looking for someone with business acumen, analytical modeling chops, and influence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecasting & Modeling: Build and maintain operational and financial models to support forecasting, GTM planning, and scenario analysis.
- KPI Development & Reporting: Define business metrics, set targets, establish dashboards to monitor performance, and provide regular business updates.
- Strategic Decision Support: Partner with teams to analyze business problems, evaluate trade-offs, and provide actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of experience in analytical, business operations, or strategy roles in high-performance environments such as management consulting, investment banking, or fast-growing startups.
- Proven ability to think strategically and approach problems with a business-first mindset.
- Strong Excel modeling skills; experience with SQL and Tableau is a plus.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and unit economic analysis.
- Growth, go-to-market, or marketing analytics experience is a plus.

- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- A passion for sustainability and the mission of addressing climate change is a plus.
This is a contract role at Mill with a targeted hourly rate of $100.
