Description
As an Information Architect (Content Management Systems) for the Technical Publications team, you will own the design of scalable and efficient content architecture, you will be part of the team that is responsible for creating the best content experience for our customers.
In this role, you will define the architecture of our Content Management Solution, set the strategy for the technical publication team, and execute strategy roadmaps for delivering content innovative solutions for the delight of our customers. This role is based on-site in Newark, CA.
Job Responsibilities
You should be good at using data and discovering opportunities for improving processes and structured technical content. You should also be comfortable in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment. This role will require you to work with the multiple teams, ensuring they have the correct understanding into the vision to prioritize product roadmaps.
The successful candidate has demonstrated technical leadership in a large, multilingual content development team. You will have extensive experience with DITA and an enterprise-wide Content Management System (CMS) and have applied knowledge of information architecture. You can lead conversations with stakeholders and partners and drive to agreement on solutions.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Partner with Product and Technology teams, content administrators, and content developers to assess the current content experiences and determine immediate and long-term needs to support content management, publishing, and reuse of documentation created by the Technical Publications team.
- Develop and maintain taxonomies, metadata models, conditionalization, and classification schemas across our content.
- Design prototypes for structured content flows.
- Develop Information Architecture designs to support user-centric product development.
- Manages the analysis, design, and implementation of the DITA content model, and its associated data model as deployed into the Content Management environment.
- Develop Cascading Style Sheets.
- Work closely with technical writers, product teams, and IT staff to ensure seamless content creation, publication, and distribution processes
- Contributes to the development of innovative ideas. Provides highly innovative solutions
- Manages DITA-OT and all its output types as well as its integrations and customizations (such as the XHTML plugin, pdf and others.)
- Contribute to, and advocate for content and communication standards across the organization.
- Conduct CMS training sessions for technical writers and other stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in, computer science, engineering, information science or equivalent experience of cross-functional operational, or technical setting.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) - Tridion
- Experience with content management using HTML and XML/DITA
- Experience in content authoring and editing tools and technologies, such as Oxygen XML Editor, XMetal and Schematron
- Experience in CCMS publication tools and technologies, such as DITA-OT, XSLT, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, regex
- Experience in content localizations and translations products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of XML and DITA standards
- Experience with Agile Project/Program management methodologies
- Excellent, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data, find root cause and make business recommendations
- Familiarity with AWS services
- Data-driven decision-making and quantitative analysis skills, including deep knowledge of statistical
- analysis, Excel, SQL, and/or other analytical techniques
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills
- Comfortable working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$155,000—$178,000 USD
