The Powertrain Operations Team is responsible for supporting advanced engineering development activities throughout the Powertrain organization, including prototype build and test of hardware for Lucid Motors’ next generation HV Battery, Drive Unit and Power Electronics programs at our headquarters in Newark, CA.
We are currently seeking a Technical Writer to support the process of creating, reviewing, and implementing work instructions, procedures, and any other business relevant documentation, for an array of different prototype manufacturing and / or business processes that span across the entire Powertrain organization.
The Role:
- Work with engineers and technicians to develop and update manufacturing instructions, troubleshooting guides, training materials, and process documentation.
- Learn about Lucid's products, manufacturing processes, and systems to create accurate documentation.
- Write documentation with the end user's needs and technical ability in mind.
- Validate the technical accuracy of documentation through subject matter expert reviews.
- Manage documentation revisions by following quality processes for revising, approving, and publishing content.
- Track progress on documentation projects using provided templates and tools. Communicate status to stakeholders.
- Connect with different teams to build awareness of their processes and documentation needs.
Identify opportunities to improve existing documentation and processes by eliminating inefficiencies.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year(s) experience with technical writing and documentation
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office SW Suite
- Strong writing, editing, and communication abilities
- A systematic, detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve the objective
- A proactive, self-starter mindset with a high ability to adapt and passion to drive change in a complex environment
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Willingness to learn
- Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing environments
Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (hourly)
$32—$43 USD
