Lomi is designed to transform your food waste into nutrient-rich plant food so you can feel good about eliminating the food waste your family sends to the landfill. We decided to democratize the carbon capture process and turn every home into a climate solution. With over 200,000 households committing to circular regeneration in Canada, USA, Australia, the UK and the EU, Lomi is designing waste out of the human experience.
We’re seeking a talented and motivated Videographer to join our creative team at Lomi. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video, a keen eye for detail, and a strong willingness to learn and grow within the industry. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from digital advertising, TV spots, brand videos, and social media content to event coverage and corporate videos.
We are only actively seeking candidates who are local to Kelowna, BC, or are open to relocating to this vibrant and picturesque city.
The Responsibilities:
- Assist in Video Production: Support the senior videographer in planning, filming, and editing video content.
- Advertising Excellence - learn the art of crafting compelling hooks to captivate potential Lomi customers and increase our content visibility
- Technical Support: Manage video equipment setup and maintenance, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the creative team to develop and execute creative concepts for various projects.
- Content Editing: Edit and produce video content for various platforms, following guidelines and feedback from senior team members.
- Growth Mindset: Implement feedback from the senior videographer and creative director to continuously improve skills and techniques.
- Industry Awareness: Stay updated with industry trends and techniques, applying new knowledge to video production tasks.
- Content Creation: Create video and still assets for social media use, including branded graphics, designs, and writing engaging copy for posts to engage and build our social audience.
- Organizational Mastery: Responsible for organizing, producing, editing, scriptwriting, scheduling, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to execute video/photography needs.
- Trend Obsessed : Thrive on understanding trends to create relevant and engaging content for both paid and organic purposes, understanding algorithms, optimizing organic reach, and driving engagement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in video production, with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in video editing and production.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, etc.).
- Creative Skills: Strong creative and storytelling abilities.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to Learn: Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges, with a proactive approach to personal and professional development.
- Momentum: Bias to action to experiment and try new ideas on, learn from failures
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/diploma in film, media, digital marketing and/ or a related field.
