Location: London / Bristol - Hybrid (travel required)

Salary: £120,000 + benefits

Team: Client Delivery / Customer Success

Reporting To: Client Success Director

What will I be doing?

Kaluza is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Migration Enablement to lead on the development and continuous improvement of our global migration strategy and execution. This pivotal role will be responsible for shaping and executing the migration approach across all client programmes, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability. You will be the central point of contact for migration enablement across pre-sale, mobilisation, and implementation phases, driving best practices and enabling fast, streamlined programmes globally.

1. Global Strategy and Enablement

  • Lead the further development and execution of Kaluza’s global migration strategy, covering tooling, testing, solution architecture, and scope/design recommendations.
  • Own and maintain the central migration knowledgebase, empowering teams across the globe to design and execute migration programmes with a focus on repeatable processes.
  • Establish and promote migration governance best practices across all client programmes, actively supporting delivery teams during their mobilisation and implementation phases.
  • Ensure the migration team is right-sized for Kaluza’s client portfolio and provide strategic recommendations to Engineering and Product teams to continuously optimise tooling and skill distribution.

2. Tooling and Architecture

  • Define and drive decisions on core migration tooling, including the adaptor, eligibility engine, and APIs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to produce reusable artefacts for data models and API structures to accelerate future client integrations.

3. Sales Support and Early Client Engagement

  • Serve as the Leading Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all things migration, supporting sales and pre-sales activities to win new clients for Kaluza.
  • Partner directly with the Sales team to produce high-quality client-facing materials, including tooling demonstrations and strategic migration narratives.
  • Input into commercial activities such as contracting as it relates to migration and implementation work.

4. Programme Mobilisation & Implementation

  • Lead the initial setup of migration teams, including resource planning, essential programme tools, governance frameworks, and implementation strategies.
  • Engage early with clients to identify specific migration requirements and develop tailored strategies with clear implementation paths.
  • Be the senior accountable person for migration streams within Kaluza’s major implementation programmes, leading interactions with key client stakeholders.
  • Maintain a central view of all migration programmes, tracking resource utilisation and performance.

5. Testing and Assurance

  • Own the migration testing strategy end-to-end, working closely with Kaluza’s Quality function.
  • Manage the documentation of test environments, data types (obfuscated, synthetic, anonymised), and key QA/assurance activities across all client migrations to ensure data integrity and quality.

6. Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated function responsible for delivering technical and strategic migration support, including Migration Architects, Analysts, and Managers.

About You

You are a strategic technical leader with deep expertise in large-scale data migration and implementation methodologies, driven by a commitment to quality, repeatability, and client enablement on a global scale.

Ideally you’ll have/be:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and overseeing complex data migration strategies across diverse clients and international markets.
  • Proven expertise in designing and driving migration tooling and architectural decisions (adapters, eligibility engines, APIs).
  • A strong background in developing and maintaining global migration governance, testing, and assurance standards.
  • Highly skilled in supporting pre-sale and commercial activities as a leading Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Experience in building, mentoring, and scaling a dedicated function of migration architects, analysts, and managers.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to drive tooling and product improvements based on client delivery insights.
  • Excellent communication and senior stakeholder engagement skills, comfortable being the accountable migration lead on major programmes.

What will set you apart

  • Deep domain experience in the Energy or Utilities sector, particularly relating to customer service, billing, or enterprise platform migrations.
  • Direct experience contributing to commercial contracts relating to migration scope and liability.
  • A proven track record in driving large-scale data integrity and quality assurance strategies within a SaaS context.
