Job Description

Job title: Facilitator (FTC until end of March 2026) Location: Tokyo, Japan Reporting To: Commercial Operations Lead, Tokyo
Kaluza reimagines energy to bring net-zero within everyone’s reach. The Kaluza Platform enables energy utilities to unlock the full value of a radically changing energy system and propel us to a future where renewable energy is sustainable, affordable and accessible for all. From automating and simplifying core operations including billing to create a lower-cost, higher-engagement experience, to optimising energy usage across smart devices in the home, we turn tough challenges into win-win-win outcomes for customers, suppliers and the energy system. Kaluza is currently in an exciting growth phase, undergoing the next phase of our international expansion in Japan to further reinforce our capabilities as a globally distributed energy platform. This means that you would be one of the earliest Kaluza employees on the ground in Japan, working directly with our clients in the region. We champion a flexible, hybrid work approach and we find that teams often benefit from coming together at least 2-3 days a week to foster connection and accelerate progress. Outside of these collaborative opportunities, we aim to be as flexible as possible to balance work with life.
What will I be doing? This role is a FTC until March 2026 As a program Facilitator you will collaborate with Kaluza’s Workstream Leads to prepare for and run in person workshops with retail utility clients in Japan. You will support following up on actions and workshop documents, and help drive forward the program to meet key milestones. The key outcomes from this This role will report to the Commercial Operations Lead and will play a central role in being the conduit between Kaluza and our client to deliver a successful program. Your key responsibilities broadly include: Run and facilitate product, tech, and program workshops as requested by Kaluza, including familiarisation with workshop content. Advise on product and technology scoping documents to convey the Kaluza platform in the local and client specific context Capture the client requirements Provide guidance to Kaluza on client sentiment Advise and inform Kaluza on Japanese business process and help bridge gaps where Kaluza isn’t able Light touch translation of meeting materials ahead of sessions Take notes during sessions and follow up on actions
About You Is this the job for me? You’re curious: you will proactively try to understand Kaluza’s platform and client needs to accelerate the program You're collaborative: you will actively engage conversations to draw out needs, concerns, and issues from both Kaluza and client You’re bi-lingual: you’re able to communicate proficiently in both English and Japanese to assist with translation You problem solve: don’t hesitate to push back and guide Kaluza, you are the key role to bridge the gap between Japanese custom vs Kaluza way of working Desirable knowledge and experience You have experience in the energy retail or similar You have experience in software sales or similar
