Job Description
The IONITY Network Operations Team is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer, to provide diagnostic and technical support during the servicing of our High-Power Charging Stations. This person will be travelling to our HPC sites within a defined region as needed to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair issues at our HPC Stations that already existing; knowledge of, and comfort with these types of facilities is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support to minimize system downtime, ensuring quick and effective resolution of issues.
- Conduct onsite root cause analysis, service, repair, and maintenance of our HPC stations, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Efficiently order, manage, and handle spare parts inventory for our HPC systems.
- Perform remote diagnostics on field failures by analyzing logged data, troubleshooting, and debugging systems.
- Support in developing processes, documentation, and diagnostic knowledge to standardize service actions and improve efficiency.
- Identify and analyze trends and patterns in field failures, providing feedback to the central team to drive continuous improvements.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to fully investigate new issues and implement effective countermeasures.
- Technical degree in Electrics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Approximately 2-3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably working with similar technical equipment.
- Professional certification as electrician (Fagbrev Gruppe L eller Automatiker, gruppe H er et pluss).
- Additional certifications in Environmental, Health, and Safety are desirable.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Experience with EV chargers, low voltage distribution, automation, and IoT systems is advantageous.
- Availability to be on-call for off-hours work as needed.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with external service providers
- Proficient in written and oral communication in both English and Norwegian/Swedish. Proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
- Strong ability to work independently, with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Exceptional capacity for managing simultaneous activities and challenges
- Skilled with common workplace and database software (MS Office)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
