• Responsible for product design and development of new products, including concept development, technical specifications and implementation of design ideas
• Development or selection and qualification of suitable (manufacturing) processes
• Continuous optimization of product designs and the product development process (PEP), to achieve efficiency gains and quality improvements
• Working closely with the team to establish clear guidelines and standards for developing 3D models, creating documentation and making design decisions
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis to ensure products developed meet functionality, quality, cost and schedule requirements
• Work closely with manufacturing and quality management to ensure seamless integration of design and development processes
• Monitoring and evaluating trends in product design and process development

• Train and mentor team members to improve their skills and knowledge in the areas of product design and process development

• Completed scientific or technical studies (mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering or comparable field of study)
• Relevant professional experience in the field of product design and process development
• Understanding of design principles and standards and their application in practice (design for manufacturing)
• Ability to work in a highly structured manner
• Analytical mindset and problem solving skills to review and improve existing standards
• Continuous pursuit of professional development and open-mindedness towards new trends and technologies in the field of product design and development
• Very good written and spoken German and English (B2)
