Role Description
As a Senior DevOps Developer you will be a key player in the Information Technology department’s IT Business Solutions team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions including formalizing our Azure environment through infrastructure as code, refreshing our confluence hosting staging environment, implementing interfaces between various systems, applying Atlassian patches, and participating in streamlining and automating IT processes.
What you'll do:
- Develop and manage IaC practices and templates for provisioning and scaling infrastructure assets in our Azure cloud
- Design and implement automation through scripting and API usage to and from various cloud applications and frameworks
- Environment refreshes and complex upgrade activities for Confluence Data Center
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues
- Incorporate security next practices into infrastructure code, ensuring that resources are secure
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure code, configurations and processes
What you'll bring:
- At least five years of IT experience
- Strong scripting and coding skills in languages like powershell, python and SQL
- Understanding of network and security concepts relevant to infrastructure design
- Working knowledge of Azure cloud platform
- Experience using Microsoft SQL Integration Server for ETL, data cleansing and other automation tools such as Jenkins
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
