Role Description

We are looking for an EHS Technician to further support daily functions of the Form Energy EHS program at our Weirton, WV facilities and potentially periodic support of our facility in Eighty Four, PA. You will be responsible for working with our EHS Site Lead to ensure our team is operating with best safety practices and to lead efforts to improve the culture of safety in the workplace. A self-starter, you will proactively mitigate new hazards and roll up your sleeves to quickly respond to critical situations in the most effective and efficient manner. Taking a collaborative approach, you’ll work closely with all teams to provide a great and safe place to work. What you'll do:

• Manage Haz-waste on site
• Respond to chemical spills
• Ensure day-to-day compliance with EHS policies and regulations
• Perform various environmental and safety inspections of the facility and key equipment
• Conduct job hazard assessments, job safety analysis
• Perform Environmental compliance related duties
• Deliver and document initial and ongoing EHS training
• Assist in Incident Investigations
• Participate and at times lead safety team activities
• Coordinate treatment efforts and track work reported injuries
• Assist with all permit to work programs including but not limited to: Control of Hazardous Energy, Confined Space, Work at Height, Live Electrical Work, etc
• Track stock and order safety supplies such as PPE and other safety related items
• Work closely with departments to ensure EHS requirements are being addressed and met

What you'll bring:

• 4+ years of experience in a EHS related role. Degreed education can be substituted for required experience.
• Proven ability to work within cross functional teams and execute outcomes to achieve aggressive timelines.
• Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with the following programs: Control of Hazardous Energy (LOTO), Permit Required Confined Spaces, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, Incident Investigation, Risk Assessment Activities
• Direct experience with navigating regulatory requirements as they relate to Large Quantity Generator status, satellite and 90-day accumulation areas, and disposal of wastes
• Knowledge and experience in OSHA 1910 regulatory Requirements
• The following certifications are preferred: HAZWOPER certification, RCRA/DOT/IATA certifications
