Our mission is to combat climate change by helping commercial vehicle fleets adopt and operate electric vehicles. Transportation is the largest contributor of any sector to greenhouse gas emissions in the US, and Flipturn aims to accelerate the transition to zero-emission vehicles.

Fleet electrification is hitting an inflection point, driven by fuel cost savings, corporate sustainability goals, and a recent surge in aggressive zero-emissions legislation like California's Advanced Clean Fleets regulation and the Inflation Reduction Act.

However, adopting electric vehicles significantly increases the complexity of managing fleet operations, for two main reasons: charging logistics and limited range. Charging can take many hours, and charging at the wrong times can incur electricity costs that are often $1000s per month per vehicle higher than they need to be. Fleets also don't have a lot of information about the current and historical range of their vehicles, and can end up in situations where a vehicle is stranded and can't make it back to the charger. We’ve heard from fleets that their existing software tools don't address all of the challenges around managing EVs and charging infrastructure.

Our product, Flipturn Connect, is a unified platform that helps fleets manage their EVs, chargers, and more, enabling operational decisions to be made faster and with all of the necessary data in one place. We help fleets save thousands of dollars per vehicle per month by optimally managing energy usage and costs, improving efficiency and utilization, and avoiding operational issues.

We are looking for a Founding Engineer to join our team. As a Founding Engineer, you will help drive product direction and build out features end-to-end for Flipturn’s fleet operations platform. You will also participate in conversations with customers, and have lots of input into the features we build and how they are implemented.
