Your Role:
As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will work closely with the Product Owner, Solution and Systems Architects, Development, and Business teams to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements, automation needs, and testing goals. You’ll design and develop test conditions and scripts to validate both business and technical use cases. Creating detailed test cases—including application data setup and vehicle configuration—will be key to achieving project success.
Responsibilities:
- Design test cases and test plans aligned with software requirements.
- Execute and analyze manual and automated tests across software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ensure test execution status and results are accurately tracked using appropriate tools.
- Document, track, and manage defects effectively.
- Promptly highlight blocking defects and critical issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot and triage issues, driving root cause identification and resolution.
- Verify and close defects and related change requests (CRs) prior to release.
- Develop automation scripts using diverse technologies.
- Apply multiple automation techniques across various infrastructure environments.
- Leverage big data analytics to identify product improvement opportunities and enhance test coverage and effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS, MS or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, data science or related, or proof of exceptional skills in related fields
- 3+ years of experience with software development and/or software testing experience
- Experience performing unit, system integration, system, security or performance testing
- Effectively and efficiently connect and collaborate with peers, development team, product owners, solution architects and other subject matter specialists
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly integrated, agile development environment.
- Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards in all areas of responsibility.
- Strong troubleshooting skills along with the ability to break down complex issues.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and Quality Assurance methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years software development or testing on Android or Linux/Unix
- Experience in vehicle diagnostic, and vehicle verification over CAN and Ethernet simulation (Vector/CANoe, Intrepid Vehicle Spy, etc)
- Experience in mobile, telematics, Internet, big data or intelligent infotainment testing
- Strong coding skills with Python, Java or C/C++ languages
- Proficiency with TCP/IP network communications and network analysis.
- Understanding communication protocols (Modem/LTE/5G, CAN, UART, Wifi, etc.).
- Experience with design, development, optimization, and deployment of test automation suites with popular tools from Android/Linux community
- Experience in audio quality tuning, automotive audio validation, conduct acoustic measurements and data collection
- Experience in camera image/video quality test and analysis
- Experience with industry standard development and/or automation tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Git, etc).
Annual Salary Range:
