Job Description

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels.

We're looking for a Senior Licensed Electrician to join our team. You will support our R&D, Manufacturing and Facilities teams, guiding complex specialized electrical projects for our electrical systems installations.

You will work onsite at our San Jose, CA office reporting into the Director of Test Engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Facilities and EH&S teams to implement electrical system installations and sustainability programs
  • Resolve electrical failures and repairs to ensure system functionality
  • Support lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) program for equipment implementation
  • Follow local building and electrical code guidelines to install and modify circuitry
  • Troubleshoot and repair base building and equipment for optimized system performance
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues
  • Create as-built drawings and upkeep facility record drawings
  • Replace lighting lamps, ballasts, receptacles, and fuses
  • Operate forklifts and working aerial platforms

Qualifications:

  • Certified Electrician in the State of California
  • 6+ years of experience with R&D electrical systems in a manufacturing environment, including high-tech equipment and complex circuitry
  • Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic tools
  • Base building systems experience such as: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection systems, and codes
  • Familiar with facilities management maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions
  • Knowledge of NFPA-70, NFPA-70B and NFPA-70E
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and industry codes such as: OSHA, EPA, DEP, and ADA
  • Understanding of local and state electrical codes and regulations including: NEC, UL and R&D
  • Proficiency operating PC applications such as: Smartsheet, Jira, and Monday
  • Experience with CMMS software such as: UpKeep, Maximo, and 360

$55—$73.60 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
