About the Role

We’re looking for a Business Line Lead to take ownership of our Trade Optimization business line - one of Dexter’s key growth engines. You’ll lead the strategy, roadmap, and commercial success of our automated speculative trading signals across European power markets.

This is a cross-functional leadership role combining strategy, product insight, and financial ownership. You’ll oversee P&L performance, steer priorities (R&D, strategic, commercial), and ensure our trading products deliver market-leading risk-adjusted returns.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute the business line strategy, aligning with company goals and market trends.
• Prioritize commercial and tech initiatives across Sales, Customer Success, Quants, and Tech teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams, e.g. Market Data, Meteo, to ensure alignment.
• Own the P&L for speculative trading signals across day-ahead, intraday, and imbalance markets.
• Oversee financial planning, working closely with Finance and Tech teams on budgets and staffing.
• Ensure strong risk management, both operationally and structurally.
• Provide feedback loops to forecasting and fundamentals teams to improve model performance.
• Stay on top of market developments, supported by Analysts and Quants.

You’ll report directly to Dexter’s Founder & CCO.

What the Role is Not

• Not people management - you’ll influence without direct reports.
• Not a manual trading desk - our systems are fully automated.
• Not a cross-business-line manager - focus is Trade Optimization, though collaboration with other lines is key.
