Manager – FOAXIAL DevCo-as-a-Service (DaaS) – Engineering Delivery Operations
Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for driving excellence in project execution? If you have a background in engineering delivery and thrive in overseeing operational aspects, we invite you to join our dedicated team working on the FOAXIAL DevCo-as-a-Service accelerator for First-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects.
Program Overview
FOAXIAL, delivered by Deep Science Ventures (DSV) and its partners, aims to prepare the teams developing key decarbonization technologies for their FOAK onto nth-of-a-kind projects. Collaborating with a global network and key EPCs, corporates, and philanthropy, we aim to facilitate emissions reductions in select industrial sectors by accelerating later stage startups and providing them the operational, financial, and partnerships support to succeed.
Position Overview
We're in search of a seasoned Engineering Delivery Operations Manager to oversee the successful execution of projects within FOAXIAL. This role will involve ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of engineering projects – ensuring the support DSV and its partners provide to participating startups is effective and distinctive.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Engineering Delivery Operations
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline project workflows and maximize operational effectiveness.
- Support diverse project delivery teams, providing leadership and guidance in engineering execution.
- Working with teams to develop engineering designs to the maturity required for requisitioning equipment and commencing construction
- Contribute to commissioning and start-up – working with engineering teams in setting and driving completion of start-up systems and commencing operations.
- Contribute to project design and implementation, leveraging your expertise to enhance and execute engineering deliveries and the processes for future deliveries.
- Help to establish and maintain key 3rd-party delivery relationships for specific and general work package deliveries
- Implement metrics to measure project impact, capturing key performance indicators related to emissions, energy production, and engineering advancements.
- Develop comprehensive reports and documentation to support Engineering Delivery Operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a proven track record in Engineering Delivery Operations.
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing the end-to-end execution of engineering projects.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Solid references attesting to your engineering and project management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with the industrial sector, particularly in areas such as hydrogen, cement, chemicals, carbon dioxide removal, cooling, and/or steel/refining.
- Knowledge of renewable energy concepts, including clean hydrogen, renewable electricity, and low-carbon fuels.
- Ability to quickly grasp and apply engineering concepts.
