About the team

You will be part of the Product team, a crew of driven, adaptive and result-oriented individuals all in support of our strong team spirit and company mission. The team is composed of data scientists and engineers working on the development and operationalization of the products with the support of scientific experts and technical gurus, all focusing on customer needs. Our mission is to build bridges between the technology we are developing and the needs of the customers. We focus on problems that customers want to solve, where our technology can play a role. We prototype products and make sure they are properly delivered to the customers.

Location – Our product team are based in Belgium (Brussels) and Germany (Munich) you will be working alongside our Data Scientists, Product Engineers, and Product Lead. You will need to based within a commutable distance from Munich or Brussels for this role.

As our Remote Sensing Engineer, you will be:

• Developing and maintaining software tools and products for remote sensing data processing and analysis, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reusability of code.

• Applying your expertise in remote sensing, data science, and statistical analysis to develop advanced algorithms for processing and integrating multi-sensor satellite remote-sensing data and other relevant geospatial datasets (e.g., meteo data).

• Utilizing machine learning and deep learning techniques to extract valuable insights and patterns from large-scale satellite imagery and geospatial datasets.
• Remaining up to date with the latest advancements in remote sensing, data science, and machine learning, and contributing to the development of innovative approaches and methodologies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and industry challenges, and design customized solutions to address them.
• Providing technical expertise and guidance, effectively communicating complex concepts and presenting findings to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
