Commons is an award-winning app that helps people make sustainable spending choices. With the app, consumers discover climate-friendly brands and earn rewards on eligible purchases. The opportunity
We are looking for a lead front-end engineer who has experience building consumer-facing software and loves building delightful user experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of some of Commons' most important technical investments. Our development team is still small and you will be working across our full stack, but with a focus on our React Native app and NextJS web app.
Responsibilities
- Working on key features of Commons' app and other technologies
- Leading the technical design of front-end features and systems
- Mentoring the development team as they grow their technical skills
Qualifications
- You are motivated to work on solving the climate crisis
- You enjoy collaborating with a team
- You have five or more years experience with ReactJS (React Native or NextJS is a plus but not essential)
- You love building beautiful, delightful user experiences
- You have some experience working with design systems
- You want to make important decisions regarding the technical direction Commons
