Head of Marketing

As the first API in the world for carbon credits, Cloverly is in a leadership position in building a new industry that the world deeply needs. The Head of Marketing will play a pivotal role in developing and overseeing strategies to support Cloverly’s growth. This person will sit on the executive team and report directly to Cloverly’s CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Set the vision and drive the implementation of the Cloverly marketing function with a focus on generating revenue through demand generation and conversion tactics
- Create and execute a strategic marketing plan aligned with overall company objectives, targeted at increasing market penetration and customer acquisition
- Identify key target segments and refine buyer personas to tailor messaging and campaigns effectively
- Develop positioning and messaging that highlights Cloverly’s unique value proposition and differentiates us from competitors
- Build, learn, and scale our customer acquisition engine
- Build the Cloverly brand and lead our product marketing efforts
- Focus on sales enablement in partnership with sales leadership
- Drive lead generation efforts through various channels, such as content marketing, email campaigns, social media, SEO/SEM, events, webinars, and partnerships
- Optimize conversion funnels to improve lead quality and ensure effective lead nurturing strategies are in place
- Regularly report key marketing metrics to the leadership team and make data-based recommendations for continuous improvement
- Identify strategic partnerships and collaborations with industry coalitions to expand brand reach, and explore co-marketing opportunities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on developing unique and educational content specific to the voluntary carbon markets
- Build and lead a five person marketing team (and growing), fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Serve as a key voice within GTM leadership and work cross-functionally with CEO, sales, product, customer success and more to create alignment on strategies and achieve results
- Become an expert on our market and a wizard on our positioning and messaging; provide critical insights to the team and help substantively shape company strategy
- Do all of the above fast and efficiently
You Might Be A Fit If You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in marketing
- Proven success at an early stage startup, ideally in B2B SaaS marketing (particularly in serving enterprise / mid-market customers)
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies that drive lead generation and revenue growth
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from marketing data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- High degrees of business acumen and strategic agility
- Scrappy, can-do attitude with ability to manage through a rapidly changing environment
- Strong interest or history in climate tech, particularly the carbon markets
- Strong leadership and executive-level communication skills
