Job Description

• Your mission at Climeworks is to lead oClimeworks certification strategy, ensuring a seamless connection between Climeworks certified CDR and voluntary carbon markets as well as upcoming compliance carbon markets.
• You are responsible for accelerating, coordinating, and leading the path towards SBTi recognition and third-party verification & certification.
• You establish strong collaboration channels with external advisors and stakeholders, leveraging their expertise to achieve the desired goals.
• You evaluate various means, to safeguard against double counting/claiming, ensuring the integrity of Climeworks' carbon removal efforts.
• You are in charge of selecting and executing certification options that meet the requirements of customers and financing partners, and drive the exploration, coordination, and implementation of validation and verification processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• You establish effective coordination mechanisms with external advisors and stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships to achieve successful certification outcomes.
• You will serve as a go-to expert, providing invaluable knowledge and insights, particularly in the field of carbon markets, to guide a strategic approach to certification. Additionally, you will actively support operations and business teams, offering guidance and assistance in all certification-related matters.
