Job Description
Join us in helping companies of all sizes and industries take their own climate action today. We are dedicated to working as a team towards our common goal: improving lives.
Become part of our agile Data team in Munich (alternative locations Berlin or Barcelona) where we share insights into our business and products to the whole company and enable each colleague to make better decisions through data.
- You collaborate within cross-functional teams, including data analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders across the company, to gather data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
- You manage and improve our data platform consisting of AWS (Glue, ECS Fargate, Lake Formation, Athena, S3, Step Functions), dbt, and Power BI
- You develop Python scripts to ingest data from data sources (APIs and operational databases) across the company into our data lake
- You develop and maintain data models in close collaboration with our Data Analysts using dbt and SQL
- You develop and implement systems and other strategies that optimize data efficiency and quality including the whole BI-/Dashboarding pipeline
- You, as an active member of the team, improve how we share data across the company
- You stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in data engineering and recommend their adoption to enhance data infrastructure and processes
- You have at least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer
- You are proficient with AWS or similar cloud platforms, Git, Terraform, Python, and SQL - familiarity with dbt, Jira, Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
- You have experience with CI/CD Engineering best practices
- You have experience in designing and implementing ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehouses
- You understand complex business processes and can translate requirements into technical solutions
- You have strong communication and collaboration abilities - working effectively in cross-functional teams
