We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of HR Coordinator (Asia) in CIMMYT.
The position will be based at Hyderabad, India.
The major activities of this position include managing:
Recruitment & Staffing:
- Act as an HR Services regional expert provider to Country HR Representatives and the Programs by identifying the Recruitment needs, providing guidance guidance and support to hiring managers on recruitment best practices and market trends.
- Manage end-to-end support for LRS recruitments in Asia’s regional offices in coordination with country HR Representatives and HQs team. This includes reviewing recruitment requests, processing with HQs team, coordinate advert publishing, shortlisting CVs, coordination with selection committee, conducting interviews etc.
- Utilize diverse sourcing channels such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals to attract top talent.
- Ensure adherence to fair hiring practices and compliance with relevant policies & procedure, labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and track key recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the hiring process.
- Generate regular reports on recruitment activities and provide insights to improve hiring strategies.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline of potential candidates for future roles and critical positions and collaborate with HR and management to identify and develop internal talent for succession planning.
- Analyze market trends and industry best practices to ensure the recruitment process remains competitive and innovative.
- Coordinate with HQs team to conduct thorough assessments and analysis to identify skill gaps and training needs within the organization.
- Collaborate with HR Reps and project heads to understand the long-term goals and align training strategies accordingly.
- Support the designing and development of comprehensive training programs, workshops, and learning materials to address identified skill gaps.
- Incorporate various training methodologies, such as instructor-led training, e-learning, simulations, and workshops, to create diverse and engaging learning experiences.
- Coordinate with HR Reps and HQs team to facilitate training sessions for employees at all levels, ensuring the effective delivery of training content.
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of learning management system to ensure easy access to training resources and accurate tracking of employee progress.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback surveys, assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Analyze training data and use it to improve and fine-tune training initiatives.
- Provide single window service to all Asian international locations on HR matters, thus facilitating all requests from the HR or Administrative staff and the Country representatives of each CIMMYT international location.
- Establish and monitor a yearly HR work plan jointly with CCRs and Country HR Representatives.
- Support the One Staff Committee activities in Asia region and related staff relations.
- Oversee the maintenance of employee records and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of HR data. Operate the Human Resources Information System (Dynamics HRM) to track and update employee information, generate reports, and analyze HR metrics.
- Update all HR manuals, job, policies, and procedures in coordination with the related HR team at HQ and in Regional Offices.
- Support the process of Staff contract extensions and probation review.
- Support CIMMYT Academy for students and partners
- Establish system to systematically ensure insurance of students at CIMMYT in the most cost¬ effective/appropriate manner.
- Propose and contribute to the improvement of HR policies and procedures, including but not limited to compensation and benefits practices
- Actively contribute and lead where assigned the audit processes.
- Develop and disseminate HR best practices within Regional Offices.
- Conduct investigation on compliance matters whenever required
- Perform other duties as assigned and delegated by the supervisor.

- Act as the HR point of contact for CIMMYT staff hosted by ICRISAT in Hyderabad, in coordination with the CIMMYT Representative in Hyderabad and the CIMMYT HR Representative for India.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates with the following qualification, skills, and attitudes:
- Master’s degree in human resources or related field, vocational or professional qualification. IHRM membership desired.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the same field.
- Requires good knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures for HR Management.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant administrative and/or operating protocols and policies of the function.
- Excellent managerial skills.
- Self-driven and well organized.
- Able to prepare and make presentations and reports.
- Good team player and motivates others to focus on results.
- Good interpersonal skills in a diverse environment with multi-cultural setting.
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computing skills; EXCEL, MS-Word, PowerPoint, MS-Project, Web Management etc.
- Must have teamwork, client orientation, communication, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills.
The position is for an initial fixed-term contract of 12 months, after which further employment is subject to performance and the continued availability of funds. CIMMYT offers an attractive remuneration package, with a range of benefits including health insurance.
