What You Will Be Doing
The regulatory employee will be responsible for a solid and thorough preparation on all (local) rules & regulations (legal, electrotechnical, electric vehicle, housing, etc.) and for capturing specific local circumstances when entering a new country or region in Europe. He/she will also be responsible for capturing and analyzing changes in rules & regulations in a region or country and a change of circumstances when already being present. The focus of the role will be on home charging solutions but any findings for other solutions provided by ChargePoint need to be proactively shared with the relevant internal stakeholders.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Identify relevant local or regional rules & regulations for the Home & Mobility Solutions team.
- Make sure ChargePoint gets the right understanding of installation rules and actual installation practices and local EV charging installation regulations outside or in addition to IEC 60364.
- Ability to translate rules & regulations into commercial and technical requirements for ChargePoint’s core business.
- Actively take part in finding solutions to comply to the identified rules & regulations for ChargePoint to be able to strengthen its competitive position.
- Capability to be the counterpart for ChargePoint’s O&M partners in the translation of legal documents into practical guidelines.
- Interest in/knowledge of electrotechnical installations

Requirements

- Accurate and thorough in reading and translating written rules and regulations.
- Proven written and verbal communicator that can present complex issues and problems into a simply digestible form.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure, to accomplish tasks on time and with high quality results.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant area covering e.g. regulatory, safety or standardization.
- Ability to set the right priorities and ability from high level conversations to individual detailed explanations.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10-25%)
- Required languages: English + at least one other European language.
Desired
- Experience in the EV (charging) industry.
- Understanding of ISOIEC safety standards covering electric vehicle charging equipment and related components.
- Working knowledge experience with EU EMC standards.
- Multilingual knowledge/skills
Location
Preferably Amsterdam, NL or Europe/working abroad.
